Toshiba has a great line up of Netbooks, but for what ever reason in Japan they have seen an up grade the Toshiba NB520 to the latest Cedar Trail Atom CPU, the N2800 with out adding an HDMI port.  Intels previous generation of processors did not support HDMI, so Toshiba upgraded the processor while neglecting to update the chassis leaving the the Netbook with out an HDMI port.

So far the up grade has only happened in Japan and on that island this particular Netbook is called the Dynabook N301.  Like the previous generation it has 1GB DDR3 RAM & a 250GB Shock resistant Hard Drive. Con

LG Electronics announced one of its latest laptops last week in Korea, it is the LG P330 Laptop. It is a 13.3-inch Laptop that features an ultra-thin frame that measures 4.5mm thick and weighs just 1.7kg. It comes equipped with a 13.3-inch LED-backlit display with a 1366768 pixel resolution.

Specifications of the LG P330 includes an Intel Second-Generation Core Processor, it comes with up to 4GB of RAM, it has a storage setup that includes both Hard Drive and Solid State Drive, there is a GeForce GT 555M graphics card, it offers support for WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, an HDMI output and a 6-cell battery for operation.

Apple’s increased semiconductor spending is the result of a number of factors. The company sold more smartphones, and its tablet business was also highly successful in 2011, according to Gartner. The success of the MacBook Air also increased Apple’s semiconductor demand, it said.

Apple spent a total of $17.3 billion on semiconductors during 2011, compared to $12.8 billion during 2010, according to Gartner’s estimates.

In general, smartphones, tablets and solid-state drives were the major spending drivers in 2011, according to Gartner.

Samsung remained the second-largest semiconductor purchaser, thanks to its improving fortunes in the smartphone sector.

This is fresh from the CES 2012 in Las Vegas, it is the Gigabyte Booktop T1132N an interesting three in one machine offering the user laptop, tablet and desktop options, so with a claim such as that it had better come up with the goods.

Actually so far from what we can see this is a very capable machine, offering options to please all users such as in the home, for students and even business users. The problem is though, is this a machine trying to be too many things at once?

MSI made a name for them selves on the netbook market with the MSI Wind, but since 2008 they havent innovated.  The MSI Wind U180 doesnt seem to be a drastic deviation from the netbooks theyve been pumping out for the past few years.
