AMD has released a slight bump in their netbook line up moving their Acer Aspire One 522 & 722 from the 1GHz AMD C-50 to the 1.33GHz C-60. 1.33 GHz. The processor also experiences a graphics increase from the Radeon HD 6250 graphics to the more powerful Radeon HD 6290 graphics. The C-60 chip has a TDP of 9W which isn’t just like the older C-50 processor.
Acer’s Aspire One 522 netbook features a 10.1-inch widescreen LED-backlit display, a 250GB hard drive, an integrated 1.3-megapixel Webcam with a screen resolution of 1280 x 720.
The C-60-powered AO722 has two Bobcat x86 cores working at 1.0 GHz (up to 1.33 GHz in Turbo mode), an LED-backlit (1366 x 768) display, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, integrated Radeon HD 6290 (DirectX 11) graphics, a 5-in-1 card reader, a 0.3-megapixel webcam, 10/100 LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a multi-touch trackpad, a HDMI output and a 6-cell battery.
We’re seeing these netbooks pop up in Germany first for 250 Euros and 400 Euros, respectively, we’ll keep an eye out for US availability.
