Weve wrapped up our review over at CGG of the Canon EOS Rebel T3i, the 18MP advanced entry-level offering thats bound to be at the top of best-seller lists over the next year. The question is, does it deserve to be? After reviewing the T3i, theres no question that it is a very well featured camera, more than capable of taking great snappy photos. But providing a final recommendation proved rather tricky for any number of reasons. First the costthe T3i is currently only $100 less than the 60D. If you dont really need the beginner friendly hand-holding or the smaller camera body, find a way to spend more and get the EOS 60D.

The patent trolls are at it again, and this time beloved music streaming service Spotify is the victim. Nearly immediately upon its entry into the US market, the company has been sued by PacketVideo, a subsidiary of Japanese wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo, for violation of patent 5,636,276, Device for the distribution of music information in digital form.

The patent in question dates to 1995 and essentially describes the process of streaming music to a device over a communications network. A device connects to the network, which has a databank of digitized music information and retrieves music over an encrypted link.

Today started a 2 week crazy period where Im running back and forth between Wayside Theatre where I work full time and Totem Pole Playhouse where the musical play I co-authored, Southern Crossroads, is being produced. Im also directing the show there as well. This morning I realized we needed to make a few script changes before we had our first read-thru with the cast, so I sat down for breakfast at a local diner, The Pink Flamingo, and pulled out the iPad 2 and did the edits and rewrites in no time flat on the iPad using QuickOffice.
