Earlier this week, we were shown some of the future ‘Mango’ Windows Phone devices, however predictably there wasn’t much information about the devices released.
Yesterday we learned that the first Mango phone would be released in August, the Fujitsu IS12T comes with a 3.7 inch screen and is waterproof, however there isn’t many other details known.
Today, Dr. Luo Zhong Sheng, General Manager of Mobile Communications at ZTE gave us a better look at the upcoming ZTE device that will also be running Mango out of the box. The ima
HCL’s ME series is best known for its laptops. But the latest to become part of the ME series are three new tablets. Of them, we got our hands on the AM7—a 7-inch touch screen tablet that runs on Android’s 2.2 Froyo operating system. We must say HCL has surpassed all expectation with this new tablet. The looks of the AM7 are similar to those of other tablets already in the market—a white back and black front band.
However, the AM7 is fairly different from many tablets out there. The touch screen interface is clean and nice to work with. For adde

While Amazon fans wait for word of their upcoming Android tablet, those content to simply read books on an e-ink device can now save some money on a 3G version: AT&T will be sponsoring an ad-supported 3G Kindle that will sell for $139. Would the retailer take the same approach with their tablet?

For those keeping score, the $139 price tag for the 3G Kindle is a $50 discount from the cost of an ad-free 3G model ($189). This follows a similar move by Amazon to offer an ad-supported version of the WiFi-only Kindle for $114.
Its an interesting new approach to electronic gadgets, as we havent seen a lot of ad-supported devices yet.

A U.S. Trade Commission judge has dealt a potentially fatal blow to HTC and the wider Android community by ruling that the company infringes two Apple patents with its Android devices.
Specifically, the judge found that HTC infringes patents 5,946,647 and 6,343,263. The first relates to receiving information that can then be used by a single interaction from the user, e.g. receiving a phone number, automatically highlighting it, and tapping the screen to call. The second relates to the processing of real-time data on a handset.
The issue this causes is much bigger than just impacting sales of HTC device as the patents relate to Android, not just HTC hardware.
Intel will start shipping its high-performance X79 Express chipset for motherboards supporting LGA-2011 and LGA-1356 processors in August, states a recent report that cites sources from Taiwanese motherboard makers.
As previous leaks have suggested, the first LGA 2011 processors will be available in the first quarter of 2012.
As many of you know, the chipset that will power the motherboards which support these processors carries the X79 designation, as Intel decided to skip right over the 6-series classification with this platform.
Just like the P67 and the P55 released before it, the X79 features a PCH (platform controller hub) design as most of the tasks that were handled by the X58 chipset previously, such as PCI Express connectivity, were integrated inside the Sandy Bridge-E CPUs.
However, the X79 packs an impressive array of features compared with its predecessors as it now supports no less than 10 SATA 6Gbps, while the PCH is linked to the CPU via a DMI 2.0 interface as well as through an additional PCI-Express 2.0 x4 link.
This can be enabled or disabled by the user in the motherboards EFI BIOS and should bring a noticeable performance increase in systems that pack high-performance storage systems.
In addition, the X79 PCH also features an Intel Rapid Storage enterprise controller that enables RAID 0/1/5/10 support and eight of the available SATA interfaces can be configured as SAS ports by motherboard manufacturers.
The rest of the specs list includes an 8-lane PCI-Express 2.0 hub, which can be used to drive the x1 and x4 slots, as well as 14 USB 2.0 ports. Read more…
